Most package tours from Armenia use charter flights, while independent trips usually use regular airlines. Both take you to the sea, but they work differently.
Charter flights
A charter is a plane booked by tour operators for the whole season. It flies to popular resorts, usually once or a few times a week, and its seats are sold together with hotels. That is why a package is often cheaper than buying a flight and a hotel separately.
- Departure days are fixed, so the length of your holiday depends on the flight schedule
- Flight times can change shortly before departure — your manager will let you know
- Baggage and meal rules vary, so always check what is included
Regular flights
Regular airlines fly on a published timetable, often every day, and many routes from Yerevan have a connection. They give you more freedom with dates and are a good choice for city breaks and long trips.
Tips for any flight
- Arrive at Zvartnots airport at least two and a half to three hours before an international flight
- Keep documents, medicines and valuables in your hand luggage
- Check in online when the airline allows it, to choose seats together
